Seleriana X Streptophylla is bedded upon wild green and purple amethysts collected from dry riverbeds in the areas surrounding the Grand Valley of Colorado by the artist, and accented with fools gold for the "dragon jewel," a symbol of the dragon's treasure: wisdom.  This is paired with Argentea Thin, which is bedded upon rose quartz also collected in the wild from near the Grand Valley of Colorado, accented with polished purple amethyst as the dragon jewel.  

Evoking the dragon King and his daughter in the Lotus Sutra, these penjing require indirect light and are ideal for altars, or for secular purposes on desks, nightstands and kitchen counters.

Ionantha Rubra is bedded on an assortment of raw and polished gems, including topaz, quartz, and agate.  Evoking the treasure dragon, this penjing requires indirect light and makes if not used in meditation, presents a delightful dining room centerpiece, or entryway accent.

Ionantha Rubra is bedded in a burnished teacup with an assortment of raw and polished gems, with a custom-made water offering cup. This penjing requires only indirect light: while intended as an offering plate, together with the symbolic evergreen plant, and water offering, if not used on an altar, this may be used to brighten the kitchen table or countertop, bringing a delightful assortment of colors and textures together with the symbolic kindness of a gift of water.
